Né en Calabre en Italie, Aldo Mazza obtient un diplôme en interpretation de la percussion et jazz de l’Université McGill ,à l’Universite de Montreal, a New York, à Los Angeles et dans d’autres centre culturels importants d’Amérique du Nord.  Il a participé en tant que batteur et percussionniste à de nombreux enregistrements de CDs, de films et de television et il est membre de l’ensemble réputé Répercussion. 

Ses recherches en ethnomusicologie ont mené à de nombreux ateliers de percussion en Italie, aux Etats-Unis et au Canada.  Depuis 1996, il est le fondateur et le directeur artistique du “KoSA International Percussion Workshop & Festival” aux Etats Unis et a Cuba.
